Our curriculum focus for Unit 2 will be to address how Canada's physical environment influences where we can find our natural resources. We will also consider the connections between aspects of Canada's physical geography and how our nation's natural resource industries affect our lives.

To be handed in:
Information about what a deciduous forest is and the characteristics of the Pearson deciduous forest.
Description of your forest plot and other information you collected during the field study (i.e., weather, equipment, etc.).
Data (ex. written in a table form) of tree measurements (DBH) & tree identification.
Data (ex. written in a table form) of soil horizon measurements (in centimetres).
Lots of visuals within the written work (ex. maps, photographs, charts, diagrams).
Copy of the rough sketch you made in the forest of your plot.
Copy of the sketches & notes you collected about your leaves.
Copy of the soil profile sketch you made.
Written argument for why you think the Pearson forest should be protected.
Written recommendations for how students & community members can provide better care for the Pearson forest.
